NHS Induction

On April 11th, the Forest Grove High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 44 new members, adding to the group of hardworking students already involved in the program. National Honor Society is a nationwide program that recognizes high school students who are characterized by “qualities of leadership, scholarship, character, and service,” according to chapter co-president Rachel Kang. “In [the FGHS] chapter, we focus on the service aspect, encouraging our members to get out into the community and serve those around them. The ultimate goal of National Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to serve, to promote leadership, and to develop character.” NHS applicants are students with a GPA of 3.5 or above, and who are invited to apply, starting in the spring semester of their sophomore year. Congratulations to all of the inductees!
