
The Billie Eilish movie was captured during her sold-out world tour. Billie Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour (live in 3D) brings an innovative new concert experience to the big screen from one of the most celebrated and successful artists of her generation. The film is directed by Academy Award winners James Cameron and Billie Eilish. The film is set to come out in theaters on May 8th, 2026. Originally, the film was going to come out on March 20th, but due to the fact that the co director james camron could refine the cut and add behind-the-scenes footage.
The film brings fans the experience of seeing Eilish on her epic arena tour in support of her 2024 album “Hit Me Hard And Soft” as well as behind-the-scenes looks at the setup for the show. Fans at the screening fully immersed themselves in the concert experience with a large group running to the center of the theater and forming a huge pit. They danced along as Eilish performed some of her Billboard Hot 100 hits like “ Bad Guy “, “Birds of a Feather”, and “ Lunch”.
This film’s showcase was not her most ambitious tour yet, but also her first tour without her older brother, Finneas, by her side. Before she recorded the show. Eilish reads a note her brother sent her, wishing her good luck with the performance. Finneas then surprised fans in the crowd by joining Billie on stage for a duet of “Lovely The movie ends with Billie in her happy place with puppies. The star shared that she has local animal rescues to bring adoptable dogs backstage. Billie even talked about how some of her team/ band members have adopted some of the dogs from the animal rescue.
To prepare for the movie, James Cameron set up 17 moving cameras in different spaces/positions throughout the stage. Ellish designed with her team a layout that placed her in the middle of the arena floor. During one of her shows in July of 2025, in Manchester, England, It showed footage of her dancing around the stage with star and fan interviews talking about how she has helped them get through many had ships and hard moments in their lives and how they are so grateful to have her here and alive, she is also one of the reasons why people are still alive because of how relatable her songs and music are it makes people feel less alone. The film shows behind-the-scenes details, including her being secretly delivered onto the stage inside a road case through the audience and telling fans from a window with a piece of cardboard saying, “I love you.”
I saw this movie with my friend Sosie, and it was an amazing experience. It really felt like you were actually there at the concert with her. When we got to the theater, they had little posters of her. It was super fun and exciting. Billie is such a great singer/person and is the reason why people are still here living.
