Forest Grove High School has been a high school since 1907, and they have not had senior trips. Our school has many seniors who have tried their hardest in their education and have graduated. That is why our school should have a trip for all the seniors to appreciate their hard work throughout their high school years. Out of 45 students, only 3 students have said that they wouldn’t enjoy a senior trip, while the other 42 have said they very much want a senior trip and think it would be fun to travel somewhere with their friends. People have even suggested some places that they would enjoy going to as a trip, for example, people have said, Spain, Japan, and Florida, or a place with an attraction park like Disneyland or Universal Studios.
We can also understand that our school doesn’t have that much money to take hundreds of students outside the state. That is why students start a fundraiser in their freshman year, so that when they reach their senior year, they’ll have enough money to pay for their trip. This school already has a fundraiser going on for the spring trips but all grades are allowed to go but there is only a certain amount of students that get to go on the trip and their parents are allowed to that is why we should have a guaranteed parent free trip our senior year so that we can hang out with friends without having our parents checking or looking at us every 5 minutes. Just like how for the spring trip, they raise money to get their trip, we can do the same for our seniors to have a trip.
A few other options people have mentioned they would want to visit or travel to as a senior trip are Europe, Brazil, and Costa Rica. This trip can also serve the purpose of being educational for students because they can visit famous places and learn about their history, and can visit some places where the stories they read about in their English class take place. It could also be fun for the staff because they get to travel to these places and get a new, fun experience with the students they have spent years teaching.
A senior could make many memories that they will remember and cherish forever, and when they look back at the pictures, they will remember, while on the trip with their friends, and all those funny memories will come rushing back. And once we are out of high school, that will be the fun memory we got to do with our friends, all the laughs and dumb stuff we did will be something that won’t be forgotten. It would be a very fun last moment we have with the people we met our freshman year or throughout the years, and it would be something fun we could do before graduating and entering the real world as graduates.
