Popular TikTok influencer Addison Rae and upcoming music singer have been nominated for a Grammy at only the age of 25. Addison was born on October 6th, 2000, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Before Addison became a globally known TikToker, she was a competitive dancer from the age of 6. Addison went to Louisiana State University for only about 1 year, hoping to become a sports broadcaster, but then she dropped out to leverage her TikTok career in Hollywood, according to the website Biography.
In 2019, Addison joined TikTok, and she became one of the platform’s most followed influencers. In October of 2019, she reached one million followers on that platform. Though Addison had a huge success with being a TikTok influencer, she tells her managers about how she has a desire to act, sing, and dance. News.com reported that in 2021, her managers helped her book a role in the Netflix film “He’s All That.” Which ended up being a horrible failure due to the fact that it was super rushed and dragged, making it a huge failure. Later, her managers got her booked for her first songwriting sessions. In the same year, she started her music career with her debut song “Obsessed.” The song peaked at number 10 on the Billboard. In 2023, she released her debut “EPAR”. In 2024, she signed with Columbia Records and released her major label single “ Diet Pepsi”. The single preceded her debut studio release, Addison, in 2025, according to Biography.com.
Addison was nominated for best new artist at the 68th Grammys, where she performed her song “Fame is a Gun.” Though she was nominated for a Grammy, she did not win anything. It was Addison’s first-ever Grammy nomination. Outside of being an actor, a singer, and a dancer. Addison has her own makeup brand called Item Beauty. Addison Rae started her career by just making silly TikTok videos; she never thought she would be nominated for a Grammy. Who knew making silly dance videos would soon lead to being nominated for a Grammy? So never give up on your dreams. I think Addison Rae has a very good future ahead of her, featuring making more songs and maybe getting back into acting. Addison Rae is now going on tour for the first time in March. This could lead her to having more opportunities in her career. As in her having more chances of getting nominated for more Grammys and performing at other places as Coachella or other special events. Addison Rae grew up in a not so rich house who struggled with a lot of financial problems, which led them to sometimes having to live in a camper. So, seeing where Addison is now is such a big jump from being super poor to super rich and famous; she should be super proud of herself.
