We all know this animal; we have heard of it, we have seen it, or maybe not, but do you know their lifestyle and some facts about them? I’m going to cover all of that for you. First, it’s their lifestyle and what they do. Foxes belong to the Canidae family as they are omnivorous mammals. They live about 3-4 years, and there are many many different foxes around the world. None of them are going extinct, which is a good thing. Red foxes live in mixed landscapes that are made up of patches of forests, grasslands, and other land use, but many other foxes such as the arctic fox live in the areas of Alaska so many foxes live differently.  Foxes will eat anything that’s around them like small animals and fruit. When winter comes around that’s when they will start making a family. In the den where the female fox gives birth the kits will stay there for five weeks and are cared for by both parents throughout the summer then the babies will grow in the fall and start to be independent. Now it’s time for facts about foxes. They can be friendly to humans and are not a threat to humans. Foxes are so loud, they have 40 different sounds! Foxes are extremely playful. They love to play a lot but please don’t have a fox as a pet. It’s illegal to own one; they are supposed to be out in the wild, not in your house. Did you also know foxes symbolize things? They symbolize good fortune, intelligence, independence, and many more. It’s also good luck to see a fox so just remember that!
