Antonio Brown was at the top of his game, but unfortunately, his career went into a downward spiral. Antonio Brown was drafted by the Steelers with the 195th pick in the 2010 draft. He played behind Mike Wallace as a WR2 for the first 2 to 3 seasons there. After that, he quickly began to take off as Wide Reciever 1. Antonio Brown had 1499 yards in his first season as WR1, which is quite impressive. He had continued to produce these numbers for the next 5 seasons before he was traded to the Raiders.

There was a lot of confusion at first as to why head coach, Mike Tomlin, had traded him considering he was putting up record numbers. The media started to pour out information about the situation. After the media had something to say on the situation, the coaching staff came out and said it was too much drama and even though he was a really good player he wasn’t worth the locker room damage.

The Raiders thought they could handle this hurricane of a man, but they were also quickly proven wrong. As soon as Brown arrived he got frostbite on his foot due to a cryotherapy machine mishap. Brown also recorded a private conversation with head coach John Gruden. So Brown didn’t get off to the best start, but believe it or not, things got worse. Brown also posted on Instagram that he wanted to be released by the Raiders because they weren’t using him in their game plan effectively. Finally, the Raiders coaching staff came to the conclusive decision to let go of Brown. After all of the constant drama, you would think teams would be more cautious around signing Brown, right?

Well, that certainly wasn’t the case for the Patriots. Brown was only able to play one game for the Patriots before getting cut in 2019. This was due to the sexual allegations that were against Brown at the time. At this point in his career, it’s looking like it could be only downhill from here. Luckily enough for Brown, the Buccaneers signed him in October 2020. He had to serve a suspension before he could play, so he didn’t end up being suited until November 8th for his first game with the Bucs. The Bucs would actually go on to end up winning the Super Bowl that season. This was the best thing that could’ve happened to Brown, people were thinking he might actually stay. If we fast forward to the 2021-2022 season Brown did something very unusual. He just walked off the field in the middle of the game and after the game Bucs head coach Bruce Arians said in a press conference that Antonio Brown was no longer a Buc. Now no one can truthfully say why Brown walked off the field but this was Brown’s response. It was basically saying how his foot was very badly injured and his coach was still yelling at him to get back on the field even when he couldn’t play. However, coach Bruce Arians had something else to say about the situation. He just said that Brown wasn’t a Buc anymore. After looking at all of this it might be time to wonder if the analysts were right after all about AB being too difficult to manage, I guess only time will tell.
