As everyone knows, we are all currently living through a pandemic referred to as the Coronavirus. With the Coronavirus pandemic happening, just about everyone is staying home, wearing masks in public, more frequently ordering needed resources online, and sanitizing as often as they can. Lots of people are affected by this pandemic and this social way of change and unfortunately, so are incoming athletes to the NFL who hope to be picked in the NFL Draft.

Before talking any more about the NFL Draft, it is important to know what the NFL Draft is. The NFL Draft is an event gathering in which all 32 teams in the NFL select the best players in a series of seven rounds. Although there are seven rounds, the most intriguing round is the first round of the draft (each team gets one pick). This round is used for teams who know they have a certain position on the field that needs a new/better replacement. These certain picks could be caused by a player who had retired the previous season or just wasn’t as good as the team needed them to be.

As it was stated earlier in the article that each team gets one pick in the first round in the NFL Draft, it is important to know how to determine which teams turn it is to select their pick. The way that the order is determined is by the record of the previous season of every team from worst to best. If there was a tie in the ending record of 2 or more teams, then the tiebreaker would be the strength of each team’s schedule. The team(s) that played a harder schedule will receive the higher (worse) pick. With all of this understanding, now it is come time to hear the results of the first round of the NFL 2020 Virtual Draft.
