Every year the amount of plastic in our oceans increases and it ends up killing the marine animals. Many get lazy and just don’t throw the garbage away. It gets thrown to the beaches that end up getting blown out into the oceans which ends up harming the lives of animals. This needs to stop, as this affects the oceans and the animals living in it. We as humans should care what happens to the earth and our oceans. This is only affecting the lives of marine animals at the moment but we don’t know whether this can turn out to affect us in the future. What is picking up your own trash going to do to you? Nothing. Helping out by picking up your own trash and others can only help the oceans and the environment.

Many get lazy at just walking over to a garbage can and throwing it in there. But no, people think throwing into the oceans is easier. People should know that the pollution in the ocean is not the fault of any of the animals – it’s our fault. We throw the garbage in their homes and they eventually end up injured or dead. We’re getting to a point many species are going to end up extinct and it’s all our fault. If someone threw trash every day in your house that makes it non-sanitary and very dirty you wouldn’t like that, no one would. So why do people do this to the homes of animals? Some people may think it’s just trash. But in reality, it’s not, it’s a weapon in the homes of many animals that kill and injure them every day.

Many people harm the lives of so many marine species. We are aware of this issue in our oceans yet we do nothing about it. We are the only ones who are aware of the dangers of plastic and the dangers of extinction. Animals confuse plastic bags for food or get wrapped up in plastic and that honestly needs to stop. No one should throw plastic into the oceans because they can’t find a garbage can close by. People need to carry it and just throw it into the garbage can later on. Why does the world have to be a huge garbage can? Why can’t people get together get make the earth a better planet, a clean planet?

Many should know the impact of a single plastic bag or water bottle has on the lives of the animals living in the ocean. No one needs to be so cruel and dirty to this planet. The animals are so important to the food chain in the environment. We interfere all the time and end up killing them as well as their natural predators and end up with species twice as fast due to the food chain. We need to stop. Get together and help the environment. We need to pick up our trash and contribute with money to clean out our oceans. This is not something to put off to the side, we need to change. Everything needs to change.
