SPOILER WARNING!

Leaving Neverland is a documentary about Michael Jackson and how he was sexually abusing children, more specifically Wade Robson and James Safechuck. The documentary specifically talks about the two boys he had a relationship with. This documentary will be good for the person who wants to know more insight information on the situation.

While watching this documentary, you learn that Michael is allegedly guilty, though many people still disagree. It goes into depth of how the boys were seduced and abused by Michael. During the documentary, the two boys say that they “felt a kind of love for him” and wanted to “please him”. They were just kids and what a kid wants to do is to not make the adults angry. Well,, what about the parents, why didn’t they do anything? One reason might be that they were also manipulated by Michael. Over time,, they started to see him more as a family member which lead to suspicious events like where Michael convinced the parents to let the boys sleep with him in the same bed. Also,, they didn’t wanna take an opportunity away from their children since they were really close to Michael Jackson one of the biggest celebrities at that time known as the “King of Pop”.

As the two men talk about their relationship with Michael Jackson, they say that they did love him in a type of way and they just wanted to please him. Going more into depth on that topic, they also say that once they were getting sexually abused by Michael and that and that he said to them that they couldn’t tell anyone because if they did,, he and the boys would go to jail forever. It’s a very manipulative way of not getting a child to tell someone when something is wrong. Children have the fear of getting in trouble by adults, especially the ones that like to please them, which in this case was Wade Robson and James Safechuck.

The last half of the movie is mostly regarding how the two men got over and tried to overcome their trauma that Michael caused. Something that wasn’t really covered on this film was Michael Jackson himself, j. J, just overall what was going on with him and his death. He obviously wasn’t doing the right thing and any person who is smart enough knows that they shouldn’t be doing that sort of horrible and disgusting thing.

Leaving Neverland was a twisted film which conveyed the utterly disgusting things allegedly did to Wade Robson and James Safechuck. The documentary did a good job of coming across this big subject as people wouldn’t pay attention to the whole situation.
