Almost, Maine: Spring Play Preview

Lizzie Lohrer

This March, Forest Grove High School’s Theater Department will be putting on Almost, Maine. The play, written by John Cariani, takes place in the fictional town of Almost, Maine. Comprised of nine short vignettes, the play showcases love and how it can change your life in ways you never imagined. The play has received attention for its repetitive use of metaphors and symbols. A missing shoe represents a missing piece in a relationship, and red bags represent love. The visual representation of how love makes us feel has been commented on as one of the things that makes the play so great, as it helps the audience relate to the characters. The Theater Department is sure to bring the same personality to this production as they have to every other production.

Almost, Maine performances will continue performances on March 8, 9, and 10 at 7:30 PM. It is $7 for students and seniors and $9 for adults.
