Winter Concert Review

Lizzie Lohrer

While the annual Winter Concert was canceled last year due to snow, it made a return this December. The Winter Concert showcased the Choir, Band, and Orchestra in a fantastic display that wowed the audience.

The Choral part of the performance began with De Capo, the smallest of the choirs, whose rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas was beautiful and serene. They were followed by Treble Choir, an all girls choir who entertained the crowd with an arrangement of the classic ‘Christmas Song.’ Afterwards came Chorale, the largest of the three choirs, who had the audience mesmerized with their latin version of Old MacDonald Had a Farm, which was hauntingly familiar yet beautifully different. Next was the Orchestra with an arrangement of Carol of the Bells that was lovely and enchanting. Last was the Band, who opened with some of their marching band pieces before moving onto a Star Wars medley that thrilled even the younger audience members. The concert ended with a holiday sing-along that had everyone smiling.

Overall, the concert was enjoyable and a large success.
