Donald Trump has avoided acknowledging “the real problem” according to Vox: “he’ll point to mental health issues he’ll call for arming teachers he’ll demand more armed security he’ll call for greater use of the death penalty and he’ll even bring up video games”. Trump seems to bring up everything except the fact that it is far too easy to access a gun in the U.S. Trump says “Well, again, this has little to do with it if you take a look. If they had protection inside the results would have been far better. This is a dispute that will always exist I suspect. If they had some kind of protection inside the temple, maybe it could have been a very much different situation. They didn’t. And he was able to do things that unfortunately he shouldn’t have been able to do.” This shows that Trump has made plans that are not practical and he is, again, trying to avoid the problem of gun control. This shooting is only a sign of how antisemitism in the U.S. is becoming stronger and stronger.
