On Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, 14-year-old Colt Gray entered Apalachee High School armed with an AR-15 assault rifle and a knife concealed within his backpack. Later, Colt exited the bathroom with the gun in hand and opened fire in the school hallways.
The tragic incident ended with Colt Gray being apprehended around 10:26 a.m. His actions resulted in the deaths of two students and two teachers, while nine others suffered severe injuries. In court, he was tried as an adult, where he pleaded guilty and was convicted of four counts of felony murder.
