There are many ways for someone to create good habits and improve their use of time. A lot of people don’t think that they can improve their use of time because they work or go to school, but that is not the case, anybody can. Creating a habit can determine if you are going to be tired in the morning  and if it’s going to be a good day or not. 


One thing to do is set goals, and it doesn’t have to be a big goal. It can be a small one like waking up early or having an amount of work finished for the day. You can have a to-do list to help you keep track of the things that you have to do. Having a routine can also help you create good habits. For example, setting your alarm to wake up early and exercising can give you motivation to go on with your day. 


Habits don’t only mean things to do during the day, but also about eating. There are many people who eat every hour or eat whatever they have available. That’s not a good habit to have. Instead, if you get hungry before dinner, eat a small amount of fruit or yogurt. 


When trying to start a new habit, it can be hard at first. It could be difficult having a routine where you are doing things that you didn’t think you were actually going to do. It may not be easy and you may think you are going to fail after the first week. Have a backup plan. Just because you failed one time doesn’t mean you will fail the second time. Nothing has to be perfect on the first try. There are many strategies that can help you create good habits. For example, making a schedule but not setting a deadline. If you schedule something at 7 pm but the thing you schedule at 6 pm takes longer than you expected, it doesn’t mean you have to skip it. Also, a habit should not be dependent on the same thing, start discovering things that you never thought you would do. Trying new things can help you figure out what you enjoy doing. Create motivation so you can actually do it. For example, the phrase “Never miss twice.” The article talks about how this saying motivates them to actually do something. The example that they gave was since they missed one workout, they won’t miss another one two times in a row. If you continue skipping things it can create the habit of you not being able to do the things you were going to do.


Habits don’t need to be a full schedule or having to do one thing every hour. Things should be taken slowly and not by rushing to try and make a better habit in your life. Once you start to see that you are able to keep up with it, you start to improve, and that should be good for starting a good habit.
