Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is an upcoming superhero movie. It’s based on the marvel comics and will be a part of phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is said to be a sequel to the two previous films, them being Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The film is written and directed by James Gunn and has an amazing cast with a few new actors. It has been confirmed by Marvel that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released on May 5th, 2023. 

We will see many actors returning from the previous films, as well as a new cast member making an addition to the earlier characters. We will see Chris Pratt return as Star-Lord, Karrian Gillian as Nebula, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, and Pom Klementieff as Mantis. We are also said to see Zoe Saldaña as Gamora again after all the events of Avengers: Endgame. Sean Gunn will come back as Kraglin, and Elizabeth Debicki could end up returning back as Ayesha, which has not been made clear yet. Sylvester Stallone’s Stakar will return as well, which could give us an indicator of a return from his fellow Ravagers, them being: Aleta Ogord (Mechelle Yeoh), Mainframe (voiced by Miley Cyrus), Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum), and Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames) latter in the MCU’s future. 

Some people that are going to make a new addition to the cast will be Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, who will make his first appearance in the film after being teased in one of the credit scenes for Guardians Vol.2’s. They will also include Chuckwudi Iwuju as the High Revolutionary, while actors Nico Santos and Daniela Melchior are both in undisclosed roles. A surprise addition to the cast will be Maria Baklova as Cosmo the SpaceDog. Someone we are certainly not seeing in the cast will be Michael Rooker who played Yondu, due to the fact he sacrificed himself to save the Star-Lord back in the second movie. 

The plot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is that almost three decades after a close encounter with the fourth kind, the intergalactic outlaw, Peter Quill also known as Star-Lord steals a valuable artifact known as the Orb with his intent on selling it. Now, the infamous scavenger has to form an uneasy alliance with his fellow inmates Thanos’ adopted daughter, Gamora; the former criminal, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket the Racoon, and Groot to prevent the vile plans of the Radical Kree Warlord, Ronan the Accuser.

This movie seems like it’s really good and it looks like they have put so much effort into it so far. I can’t wait for this movie to come out in theaters on May 5, 2023.
