Starting in the late 60s all the way until the 2000s, Stevie Nicks was and still is an icon. Her fashion and energy put out into the world were so unique and honest that her fans and listeners had the same energy she put out. Stevie had so many achievements and successful times in her life but also battled with life and finding herself.

Energy and Fashion:

Stevie Nicks has such a high-energy fashion sense. She always had the same style with her outfits during concerts and also in her interviews. Even though to some, her style can seem very dated or “old”, it can give people a way to find their music and energy. Shaws, skirts, and corsets were Stevie’s staple pieces. Through the 70s, this fashion sense was at a high so Stevie being a well-known artist brought even more light to a dated fashion sense. Her Shag hair was and still is very trendy to this day. She never changed her hair, wearing a short top hat or flowers to concerts and interviews. Spiritually, Stevie was known as a White Witch. She wrote and dressed in a spiritual way that she accepted the fact that people would call her a Witch. Her songs Enchanted and Gypsy was very spiritual songs that were constantly talking about your destiny and fate.

Inside Her Music:

Some of you might know of the song Dreams By Fleetwood Mac, from their 1977 album Rumours. The album became a success overnight. The album hit number 1 on Billboard Pop. Although she had overnight success with her musical group, she battles with a lot of life issues such as addiction, abortion, and an overall struggle to find herself again. Stevie created a few songs on her own during her hard times. All her single songs tell her story within the lyrics, they tell her story about what she was going through. Her music was her escape from what she was going through. In 1981, Stevie released a song titled Sarah. During that time, Stevie went through with an abortion. She made it clear that music was her true passion and she wasn’t ready to have children. Sarah is a song about her daughter “Sarah”. The song goes into detail about Sarah as if she was growing up. No one knew what Sarah was about when the album Tusk was released until later on when she was talking about her struggles within her songs. Many of her songs were inspired by love and nature, a targeted audience was definitely made known by how her songs were written. Rumors were all about love mixed with how nature can heal a broken heart or create love. So many loved how she kept her own style and her own signature sound in all of her albums and singles, and the natural and raw feeling of her songs.
