The One Piece is a fantasy-based manga and a tv series. It’s a very exciting and adventurous series. Throughout the book, Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of pirates, Roronoa Zoro, Usopp, Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Nico Robin go on countless adventures and face many different opponents. Luffy’s dream is to become the “king of the pirates,” which many doubt he can accomplish, but throughout the course of the series, Luffy proves them wrong. Although at first Luffy appeared to be just an ordinary person, when he was younger he met someone named Shanks who stood up for him. Shanks is the captain of the red-haired pirates and he became very close with Luffy and ended up making an unbreakable bond with him. 

Although Shanks had to leave, Luffy acquired an odd berry called the devil fruit. Devil fruits give the people who eat them extraordinary powers that are all different depending on the specific berry that one eats. Luffy ended up getting the gum devil fruit, which gives him the power to stretch his body however far he wants to and allows him to inflate himself. However, that’s not the only thing it allows him to do, as the devil fruit also made his body into a rubbery material that makes him invulnerable to bullets, though he is still able to be injured in other ways. The devil fruit berries may have their upsides, however, they also have downsides: the person who eats a devil fruit acquires lots of power but it also makes the user unable to swim. This is a challenge for devil fruit users because most who have the devil fruit powers become pirates and are always on the water so if their ship were to sink, the user would sink and die unless saved by someone else. 

Zoro is known for his 3 sword style and is a bounty hunter. He has extraordinary skill and strength which suits him for Luffy’s crew. Usopp is the inventor who makes very useful tools throughout their journeys but is also the main ship repair guy. Nami is the ship’s navigator who helps Luffy go wherever he wants to go, but she also has a dangerous temper which is expressed throughout the series. Sanji is a very interesting person because in combat he rarely ever punches unless he absolutely needs to. Instead, he uses his kicks which are very powerful. He is also the ship’s cook. He prepares fine meals for the crew no matter where they are or what they are doing. Chopper is a deer who is able to speak and grow into a massive size with insane strength. He is the doctor on the ship, and he’s also a combat fighter when he needs to be. Although the last member, Nico, was originally an enemy, once she saw how genuine Luffy’s crew was, she wanted to join. She also acquires devil fruit powers, her devil fruit is called the Hana Hana no Mi which allows her to replicate herself and sprout pieces of her body on any object she can see which comes to great usefulness in Luffy’s crew.
