The Kardashians/Jenner family TV show was based around the wealthy lives of 6 girls. The show focused on the personal and professional lives of each girl, and in some circumstances could be funny. Some may wonder what led these girls to such a luxurious lifestyle; they first got their attention from being a friend and stylist of Paris Hilton, but what gave them wider attention was a leaked adult video of Kim Kardashian in 2002. The Premiere of Keeping up with the Kardashians started on October 14, 2007. This show led most of the girls including Kim, Kylie, and Kendall to all start makeup brands. Each Kardashian/Jenner posted about how they are discontinuing the show, but why? Kim came forward and said that she banned the show from filming and following Kanye West’s recent activities, as he struggles with bipolar disorder, and sometimes he can come off as passive-aggressive and doesn’t agree with a lot of popular opinions. The show also made each girl look very bad and immature, which brought a lot of viewership to the show, but with the viewers came hate. One way the show has made the girls look bad is by making the public think that they have ruined the image of womanhood; many say they have disrespected the label of being a woman. Instead of being a respected influencer, these girls hear every day about how they don’t deserve fame and luxury. What a lot of people don’t realize is these girls do plenty of good gestures, including donating to many different charities, supporting BLM, helping people in need, and much more. These opinions have not seemed to affect the girls, they continue to live their lives, and most of them have beautiful babies that they love and adore, so do they have the time to be on a reality tv show that has consistently made them look like bad people? They don’t want to set bad examples and reputations for their little ones. Many people are very upset about the show ending because many loved the show and have been watching since the first episode back in 2007, so to see the show go was very unexpected because it feels like we grew up with all of these girls.
