Alex’s full name is Alex Warren Hughes. He was born on September 18, 2000, making Alex 25 years old. He was born and raised in Carlsbad, California. Alex’s childhood wasn’t the so-called “normal.” He had 2 sisters, Ashley and Lauren, and 1 brother, Grant. Growing up, his dad had kidney cancer, causing him to pass away in 2007 when Alex was only 7. Then, in high school, Alex was diagnosed with depression and used sports to cope. He played soccer, basketball, and softball. Once Alex was 17, his mother kicked him out because she struggled with alcoholism. Alex ended up living in his friend’s car until he could save up for his own. During this time, Alex worked as much as possible, often taking on double shifts and overtime, to afford his own car, which ultimately prevented him from graduating from high school. Once Alex was 21, his mother passed away due to alcohol-related complications, causing Alex to be parentless.
Alex started doing social media at the ripe age of 10, creating pranks and skateboarding videos on YouTube. After a while of doing YouTube, he started doing TikTok in November 2019. Shortly after he joined TikTok, he joined the Hype House, which was a content house. Alex ended up being in the Hype House for 3 years before leaving because he felt there was a “falling out” within the group, and he was not compensated for his contributions. He also left because he wanted to move on to the next chapter with his girlfriend.
Alex is also a music artist, as he started in June 2021. He currently has 156 songs out. Alex has mostly released singles, but has 2 albums out. Alex’s biggest single is Ordinary, with over 1 billion streams on Spotify. As Alex has already been on tour for Cheaper Than Therapy 2025 and is currently on another tour, Little Orphan Alex Live 2026. Alex and his now wife, Kouvr, have been together for 7 years, 1 year married, and 6 years dating. Married for 1 year, and dating for 6. Alex and Kouvr met through Snapchat when they were both 18. After 4 months of dating, Kouvr moved from Hawaii to move into Alex’s car in California. After 6 years of dating, Alex proposed on New Year’s Day of 2022 during their first mountain trip together. But for Alex to propose, Kouvr wanted him to learn her full name, which is Kouvr Ho’oipo A Me kamakalani O’anela Kahokulani Vincent Annon. It ended up taking Alex 4 years to learn her name. But they ended up getting married on June 22, 2024, in Escodido, California. At their wedding, they had a little over 275 guests. After the wedding, Alex wrote his biggest single Ordinary for Kouvr. While making the music video for Ordinary Kouvr, she overcame her fear of heights for Alex.
