Faye Webster is a singer and songwriter born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 25th, 1997. She makes music along the genres of R&B, soft rock, etc. Faye Webster has been writing and singing since the age of 16. She has about 5 studio albums which include Run and Tell, Faye Webster, Atlanta Millionaires Club, I Know I’m Funny Haha, and Undressed at The Symphony.
Not only is Faye Webster an artist, but many of her family members are too. Corbin, her grandfather, was a bluegrass music guitarist in Texas. Also, her mother was a guitarist and fiddle player and her older brother was in a rock band in high school. Faye started to get into music at the age of 14 but started actually writing music at 16. She went to Henry W. Grady High School in Atlanta, Georgia where she and her friends formed a rap group together.
After watching her perform at open mic nights, her dad recommended that she record her music so people could take it home with them. Finally, at the age of 16, she started to release her music, starting with her debut album, Run and Tell.
She attended Belmont University in Nashville after she graduated high school. This school mainly focuses on studying songwriting. Faye Webster dropped out of this college soon after due to her thinking she was wasting her time and money. She moved back to Atlanta, Georgia in 2017 and made a deal with her parents that she would live at home with them for a year and if she wasn’t successful in her singing and songwriting career then she would go back to Nashville and attend her old college. In April she took a 12-city tour with Sean Rowe which was followed by her release of the album Faye Webster in May of 2017.
In May 2019 she released her 3rd full-length album, Atlanta Millionaires Club, which is named after her father’s grad-school friends. In March 2019, the album’s lead single “Room Temperature” was featured in a Rolling Stone article. “Both All The Time” was released on August 7th, 2019, prior to embarking on a US tour. In A Good Way and Better Distractions was released in April 2020. The song “Better Distractions” was put on Barack Obama’s list of favorite songs of the year.
About a year after that in April of 2021, she released the single “Cheers” where she also announced her newest album I Know I’m Funny Haha which was released on June 25, 2021. Not only that but in October 2021, she released an EP titled Live At Electric Lady as a part of a Spotify Exclusive series of the same name. The EP features live recordings of songs from her previous 2 albums. In 2022 she released another EP titled Car Therapy Sessions where she performed more songs from her previous 2 albums as well as a song titled “Car Therapy”. The orchestral backing of this song was arranged by Trey Pollard. Shortly after releasing the EP, she supported the band Haim as one of the openers on their One More Haim Tour. Faye Webster is now 27 years old and is still releasing music.
