Gilmore Girls is a drama series about a mom and daughter, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. They both live in a small town called Stars Hollow, CT. Some of the main streaming services you can watch it on are Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Apple TV. The first episode was produced October 5th, 2000 and the final episode was released May 15th, 2007. There is also a year after the show which basically shows what happened after the show was over. All of the seasons have about 21-22 episodes.
Rory and Lorelai are known around the small town for their very close relationship. They act like best friends and since they’re so close in age, people that don’t know them personally assume they are just friends since Lorelai doesn’t look like a mother. Lorelai also has a very close relationship with Luke. Luke is the owner of the diner she goes to every day for coffee and food.
Although Lorelai is super close to her daughter, Lorelai is not close with her mom, Emily. They have Friday night dinners every week, but only because Emily and Lorelai made an agreement that she would pay for Rory’s private school fees but only if they had dinner as a family every Friday. Obviously, she agreed because at the time Lorelai didn’t have the money, but it was a great opportunity for Rory since it was her dream to go to Harvard so she needed the best education she could.
The school she went to was Haltion and when she first got there she didn’t really make any friends, but she did find out who she didn’t like. The first person was Tristan, who was a blonde tall smart guy who acted dumb. He would always mess around with Rory and call her Mary. A lot of people had a crush on Tristan. People were jealous of Rory because everyone knew he had a crush on Rory but she didn’t know. They ended up kissing and getting closer over the year but once they got pretty close he had to move away cause he kept getting in trouble at school. The second person she didn’t like was Paris.
Lorelai also dated a teacher from Rory’s school, Mr. Medina. They were off and on for a while they even planned a wedding but Lorelia decided she didn’t want to get married yet. She also dated Christopher, who is Rory’s father. They wanted to work but it never worked out. They started dating later on in the show but he found out he got a girl pregnant so he had to be with the other girl to be a father. She also ends up dating Luke from the diner; they even get married and Lorelai doesn’t leave this time. Rory also had a pretty big dating life. She dated a guy named Dean; they dated for a while and he even built a car for her. She also dates a guy named Jess who is Luke’s nephew and she dates a guy named Logan. They even have a kid together named Gigi. I would recommend this show in my opinion. It is a very good series. It is a bit long but I think it’s worth watching.
