The Naughty Nine is a 2023 adventure/comedy about 9 naughty kids who come together because of Christmas. The movie starts with Andy discussing his behavior in the principal’s office; he gets away with no punishment and goes to his best friend Dulce. They had been planning to get confiscated items from the principal and sell them to the original owners for some money. Still, they got caught, or at least Dulce thinks they got caught. However, Andy had already thought ahead and switched the bag with the toys for a bag of cookies, so they went and sold the items with no repercussions. They then go home for winter break and tell each other what they want for Christmas and how they are counting on Santa to bring the gifts their parents aren’t getting. On Christmas morning, Andy finds out that Santa didn’t get him anything, but he did get his sister a present, so he gets mad and starts a plan along with Dulce and Lewis to steal their presents from the North Pole.
Andy gathers a group of people on the naughty list who all have skills that will help them on the mission. He takes them to his basement to introduce them to the plan, but they all think he is crazy until he finally convinces them. He is about to keep talking, but then his sister Laurel comes down with his mom, who was trying to get Andy in trouble, but she just sees that he is starting a club and leaves them be. The next day, Dulce tells Andy that their gymnast had dropped out of the plan because she had convinced her parents to buy her the phone she wanted, so Andy had no other choice but to ask Laurel to be the new gymnast. Laurel agrees, and the plan is back in action. On the day of the plan, everyone gathered together and got to the plane. They convinced a pilot to fly them to the North Pole and get in. When they get close to the North Pole, they change into the elf outfits that Jon, their costume master, had made for them and land with some problems, but it all turns out okay. Albert is sent to go distract the guard elf and lets the rest of the naughty nine in.
When they get in, they split into groups; some go to the reindeer, Lewis goes to turn the cameras off, and Andy, Dulce, Laurel, and Jon all go to look for the vault. When Andy’s group is looking for the vault, they realize that the North Pole is empty, so they go find the elves and find them in a house having a party. They get dragged into the party and eventually sneak out. They find the vault but can’t get in because Lewis wasn’t successful in turning off the cameras, so they have to cover up the cameras and go in. They find out that to get in the vault they have to sing the 12 days of Christmas, so they do that and get in. Then once they are in, they get their stuff, but Andy is having second thoughts and puts everything back. He tells his group to put everything back, and they do, except for Laurel, who doesn’t give the phone back. On their way to escape, Andy ends up getting caught, but everyone else gets on the plane on time. Andy is taken to Santa, who he convinces to take everyone off the naughty list except for him and Laurel. While that is happening, Dulce takes the group back to the North Pole to rescue Andy, and the group manages to get Laurel off the naughty list.
Santa sends them home, and Andy and Laurel are now actually nice to each other. Overall, The Naughty Nine is a good movie to watch with your family around Christmas time that will warm your hearts with the Christmas spirit.
