Today, I will inform you about all types of magick and where it originated.
Magick has existed since the beginning of time, from the pharaohs, to ancient Greece, to the medieval period, and the Salem witch trials of 1692. Unlike many people’s beliefs, magick is not as bad as most media make it look. The only downside is that some magick users use animal sacrifice, but most types of magick do not need it.
There are many types of magick. Starting off with the most common type of magick, green magick uses plants, flowers, herbs, and other natural wonders for spells and rituals. Next, we have ceremonial magick. This type of magick involves accessories and rituals and was popularized by the Golden Dawn. Folk magick is like healing: using herbs and plants, this was the type of magick mistaken for bad. It was mostly practiced by women. Then we have astral magick: stars, zodiac, and planets. Astral magick requires a lot of patience and has a lot to do with the moon and what time it aligns with each zodiac. Next, we have chaos magick, where there is no absolute truth – reality is only perceived. It’s not really controllable, unless you have studied you can not use it without messing up. There’s no material world or ethereal world.
Then there’s sympathetic magick which involves making effigies or poppits of the person that you’re doing the spell on, so you take the fingernails and hair or maybe even a piece of clothing and you put a spell on the poppit or effigy, but do not use voodoo or hoodoo unless you are part of that culture. Then there’s humanistic magick. It involves the hierarchy of needs and self-actualization; it draws on these ideas as objectives for magick.
If you wish to do magick I recommend studying a lot before actually doing any rituals or spells. If you don’t, the spell might come out wrong and backfire and cause other spells to malfunction too. Make sure to not get the herbs wrong when making spell jars, if you do the outcome of the spell might not be what you wanted.
Next edition if the readers like this stuff, I will cover sigils and simple spell jars for you to use at home, and I will tell you some good authors to read for each category of magick you would like to look at I also recommend studying by yourself and keeping a journal that applies to your type of magick. Or maybe you will find a new deity to follow. Personally, I don’t really believe in Christian beliefs so I turned to witchcraft hoping to one day help people who are also learning about it.
If you are still wanting to learn about it I encourage you to wait for the next edition of this to come out. I am currently studying up on each type of magick to make sure you guys are educated before you try to perform any spells or rituals, so see you in the next edition.
