Jeffrey Dahmer is a well known serial killer in the 90’s and even now.
He was also known as the “Milwaukee cannibal.” Dahmer was born May 21st, 1960, and died November 28th, 1994. Dahmer was from Milwaukee Wisconsin and one younger sibling: David Dahmer. As a young child, Jeffrey Dahmer had a fascination with animal bones and would collect them, clean them, and preserve the bones in jars of formaldehyde. He had a problem with drinking and he started drinking at age 14.
Dahmer was known for the murders of 17 boys and men ages 14 to 33. The names of the victims are Steven Hicks, Richard Guerrero, Steven Tuomi, James Doxtator, Anthony Sears, Raymond Smith (Ricky Beeks), Eddie Smith, Ernest Miller, David C. Thomas, Curtis Straughter, Errol Lindsey, Tony Hughes, Konerak Sinthasomphone, Matt Turner, Jeremiah Weinberger, Oliver Lacy, and lastly Joseph Bradehoft. Tracy Edwards was the man who got Jeffrey Dahmer into custody.
Dahmer murdered for the first time when he was 18, his first victim was Steven Hicks who was also 18 at the time. There are 9 documentaries and 2 TV shows about him. Around when Dahmer was 18 he decided to join the army. He served in Germany for 2 years then returned home to Ohio later. Dahmer got arrested twice before he was caught with murder, in 1982 he was arrested for “indecent exposure” and in 1986 he was arrested for allegedly “masturbating” in front of two 12 year old boys.
In May of 1997, Dahmer graduated from high school at Revere High School. He later went to Ohio State University to study for a business degree but he later got expelled in the first semester because of his excessive drinking problem. Jeffrey Dahmer said that “he couldn’t kill anyone without a drink” and blamed killing people on alcohol. Some families tried to sue the company “Budweiser” because of this fact.
When police were investigating Dahmer’s apartment after he was arrested they found human body parts like a head, male genitalia, and a heart inside his refrigerator. The police also found a lot more disturbing stuff like a blue drum filled with three dismembered torsos dissolved in acid, photographs taken of the victims, a blood soaked mattress, and tools like saws, and hammers.
Dahmer was most well known for necrophilia, cannibalism, taking photos of the victims after death, and preserving human body parts. Dahmer would lure his victims back to his apartment with the promise of money or sexual intercourse. Dahmer targeted LGBTQ men and in his words, “men whose lives were not valued by the police.” Dahmer was caught on July 22, 1991. He was charged with 4 counts of first-degree intentional homicide on July 25, 1991, followed by 8 more murder counts in early to late August, and was punished with 16 consecutive terms of life imprisonment. Dahmer was murdered by a prison inmate 3 years later.
