A new and upcoming superhero movie called Black Adam is coming out soon October 21, 2022. It is said to be a spin-off of Shazam. It will also be the eleventh installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is pg-13 and the genre is action, fantasy, and adventure. The film will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, and a screenplay by Adam Sztkiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Norshivarni. The film will also feature Dwayne the rock Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shai, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Saboungi, and Pierce Brosnan.

Some background information on Black adam would be that he is a powerful ancient Egyptian named Teth-Adam who was also Egypt’s greatest champion until he was corrupted by the blaze. He was chosen by the wizard shazam to be his successor due to his presumed moral purity. He is also on par with Superman, but he is the only original champion of the wizard Shazam. He was also given powers by some of the Egyptian gods being: Shu, Heru, and Amon. Shu grants Black Adam incredible stamina, Heru grants him unmatchable super speed, and Amon grants him tremendous physical strength. Black Adam ended up becoming a brutal tyrant after receiving his mystical abilities to “fight in the evil world.” Black Adams’s weakness would be magical variability (only significant magic can affect him.) Also, lightning attacks cause damage and can cause him to turn back to Theo Adam.

The Black Adam movie is going to tell the story of the character returning to the mortal world after spending 5,000 years in a magical prison. He is released into modern times with little knowledge of the new changing world and not knowing how to act/behave in it. The movie follows Black Adam as he learns how to navigate in the changing world and has to choose who he wants to be. We can gladly expect that there will be superhero action scenes with violent fight scenes and some language.

Once the first official trailer for Black Adam came out on June 8, 2022, it gave us our real first look at the film after many teasers and small clips. The trailer shows the Justice Society of America has to take on Black Adam after he’s been awakened from his 5,000-year slumber by Doctor Fate. With no doubt that Black Adam is a Complex character as he is standing between the line between antihero and villain. At one point in the trailer, Hawkman says to him, “Heroes don’t kill people” and with no hesitation, Black Adam replies, “Well I do.” That answer tells us that Black Adam is not like every other superhero with a lightning bolt on their chest. He then comes along with Adrianna Tomaz and a group of potential friends. Doctor Fate is also said to warn him about the future, “You can be the destroyer of this world, or you can be its savior. That’s up to you.”

And that’s the end of the Black Adam movie information. This new movie seems like it’s going to be a really nice addition to the DC universe and a good movie in general once it drops on October 21.
