Let’s talk about New York Fashion week. It all started in 1943 with the purpose of giving buyers an alternative to French fashion during World War II, when workers in the fashion industry could not travel to Paris. New York’s fashion week this year was September 8th to September 12th. New York presents more affordable and ready-to-wear brands, meaning major couture brands don’t take part and some brands that do are Micheal Kors, Alice and Olivia, Tory Burch, Oscar De La Renta and Tom Ford. A show that really caught people’s attention and was attended by many celebrities was Moschino’s Season 22 spring collection designed by Jeremy Scott. The show was opened and closed by Gigi Hadid. The “theme” for the show was ladies who lunch and nursery rhymes giving very much 70s and 90s vibes.
The Fashion week that comes after New York is London. This year’s London fashion week was September 16th through the 21st. Although London fashion week was mostly digital, some British designers that took part were Scott Henshall, Stefan Cooke, Richard Quinn, and Anna Mason.

The show was opened and closed by British singer Dua Lipa; she was also joined by Naomi Campbell, Gigi Hadid and Leon Ciccone. The show began with black dresses and suits with small flashes of color, but as the show went on grew the bust of pink, yellow, sea-foam green and aquamarine.
“I wanted to create something disruptive, something that could be in tune with what has changed inside all of us. To me that meant dreaming of a new world. A world made of popping colors and fantastic creatures and a world in which we can all coexist peacefully.” – Donatella Versace
Last but not least of the big four comes Paris Fashion Week. This year’s Paris fashion week takes place on September 27th through September 30th. Some of this year’s participating designers are Christian Dior, Cecilie Bahnsen, Di Pesta and Rick Owens.
