Lil T-jay is one of my favorite artists. He creates music that has a deep meaning to it even though it can still be enjoyable to listen to. These are some of my favorite songs by Lil T-jay and why I like them. Lil Tjay covers a range of emotions, he can go from pain and depression in his music to craziness and rage.

“Zoo York” Is my favorite song by Lil T-jay, featuring a fast flow and a crazy beat. Lil Tjay collaborated with Pop Smoke and Fivo Foreign on this song. They have all individually collaborated before but this was the first time that all three came together. The song is about their hometown and how it’s chaotic with gang activity happening all around them. It’s kind of a turn-up song for me when I’m with my friends to go crazy like I’m in a zoo, hence the name “Zoo York”. This song is also one of my favorites because it features Pop Smoke and Fivio foreign, Pop Smoke being my favorite artist right now.

“F.N.” is my second favorite song from Lil Tjay. The song talks about how one of his friends switched up on him overnight. It speaks to me because a lot of my friendships are about loyalty and trust and knowing that I can count on somebody to be there for me and never leave me behind. It’s almost like me and this song has a deeper connection than just the lyrics. It means something to me, like this song represents somebody I would like to be friends with.

“Shoot For The Stars” Is my third favorite song by Lil Tjay. The song also features Fivio foreign. According to Genius.com, this song talks about their harsh upbringing in New York as well as paying tribute to Pop Smoke who was brutally murdered on February 19th, 2020. I like the song because it’s almost like a tribute to remembering our loved ones and never forgetting their legacy. To me, it’s like you die twice, once when you’re buried six feet under and the next time when nobody remembers your name.

”Ice Cold” Is my fourth favorite song by Lil Tjay. The song talks about the unforgiving and cold world that we live in. This song also connects to me on a different level because it talks about Lil Tjay’s pain and his depression and how he spreads the love around instead of drowning in his own sorrow which is kind of the same way I deal with it except I’m not as open about it. It also talks about how he lost his close friend Pop Smoke which I’ve gone through, not through death but losing somebody because they either moved or switched up on me.

“2020” Is my fifth favorite song by Lil Tjay. The song was released on New Year’s Day 2020, He talks about his goals for this new coming year and he raps about his Newfound Fame. He also touches on how he would rather be serving a prison sentence than to die to make sure his mama doesn’t mourn or cry. This hits close to home for me because family is everything, at least to me it is. Knowing that they’re always going to be there for you no matter what and you would never want to hurt them whether that be physically or mentally is very important to me. They’re always going to be that brick wall behind you no matter what. For all these reasons this is why these are my top five favorite songs by Lil Tjay from going to pain to talking about his prosperity.
