Halloween Is the Superior Holliday

Halloween is known for trick or treating, movies, costume parties, and the supernatural. Halloween’s fun and excitement will never be lived up to by Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, or other holidays.

Trick or treating is one of the most popular things to do on Halloween. Many people think trick or treating should only be done by kids, but it can be done by anyone, no matter their age. While people are trick or treating, they also dress up in costumes. Costumes are super fun as it lets people be whoever they want to be. They range from a simple Disney princess to a very creepy IT costume, there are an endless amount of options, which is why it’s super fun.

While Halloween movies usually have to do with the topic of Halloween, sometimes they’re just called Halloween movies because they’re classified as Halloween favorites. According to Town & Country, some of the most classic Halloween movies are Scream, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Carrie, The Six Sense, and The Craft, which is one of my personal favorites. Watching these movies on Halloween night or around Halloween is perfect and sets the spooky mood.

Throwing Halloween parties is also super fun. It’s a place to come together as friends and family to hang out, have some food, sweets, and dance. It’s also cool because you get to be with your closest friends and just enjoy the night– unless a killer crashes the party.

During Halloween, people tend to talk about the supernatural a lot more because it makes people get spooked out. During Halloween, people can tell scary stories at sleepovers, use ouija boards, and watch ghost moves. Halloween night is the perfect time to get scared and freak others out. Meaning that if you’re heading to a sleepover, get ready to tell some spooky stories to your friends or cousins, or safely play the ouija board to creep yourself out and check if you have spirits or ghosts in your house. You could also watch great ghost movies or some of the aforementioned movies to keep entertained.

While some people may argue Christmas or Thanksgiving is better, that’s where they’re wrong. On Christmas day, most people wake up, open their presents, and then have breakfast, but that’s it. You can watch Christmas movies and just chill out in the comfort of your own home, but that can be kind of plain. The same thing goes for Thanksgiving. People gather up, have a big dinner, and give thanks for the things they have, but that’s it. Halloween is the superior holiday because of how much more you can do, which makes it more fun and exciting.
