The next place we’ll be traveling to is the beautiful country, Chile.  Chile is located in South America and funnily enough, looks like an actual chili pepper on the map.  One interesting fact that you might not know is that Chile is the World’s longest country from North to South, measuring at about 2,600 miles.  So, if you’re ever heading out to go to the World’s longest country be sure to check out the following places on your trip.

First, you have to check out Easter Island.  Easter Island is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world and is about 2,100 miles away from the coast of Chile.  The flight will take you about 6 hours, but the beauty of the island will surely outweigh the long trip.  Easter Island is a very popular tourist place as I’m sure that you’ve probably already heard about the island in some form or another.  The island is home to many statues that are extremely old.  In fact, it is estimated that they were built around 1400-1650 A.D. by the natives living on the island.  One common thing for tourists to do is go on guided tours to and around the island.  On these tours you’ll be able to learn even more about the statues on the island and their significance and mystery, so definitely check those out.

The next place you should definitely check out is El Tatio. El Tatio is a geyser located 4,200 meters above sea level.  The best time to check out these amazing geysers is about 6 to 7 in the morning.  At El Tatio you can do a variety of things including hiking, bird watching, and checking out the amazing hot spring.  El Tatio has many geyser tours that you can go on and tour around the 60 geysers there.  According to Viator.com, “The El Tatio Geysers are a must for nature lovers and photographers, and the best way to visit is on a guided excursion from San Pedro de Atacama.”  El Tatio definitely seems to be the type of place best visited on a tour so that way you can get the full experience.  Just remember to be safe when you are there and watch to your step, because visitors have been burned before when falling into burning water.   However, El Tatio is a beautiful area and a must-see if you’re in Chile.

Chile is a beautiful country with absolutely beautiful places to visit.  So if you ever decide to visit there, make sure to check out  Easter Island and learn more about its very interesting history.  Don’t forget about El Tatio either, so you can check out the beautiful scenery around.  As always, don’t forget to be kind and respectful when traveling to different countries, not only respecting the people but the land that you are walking on and, of course, the wildlife located in these areas.  In conclusion, Chile is a gorgeous country that you absolutely have to visit when you’re on a traveling adventure.
