It’s that time of year again… the leaves are changing colors, people are drinking pumpkin spice lattes, you just decorated your house with spooky skeletons and fun spider-webs but you forgot to get a costume for that Halloween party you’re going to tomorrow night. Fear not, during this time of the year, last-minute tricks are your best friends.  Luckily, DIYs can be fast and easy!

First up, we have a fun farmer costume.  Betcha never herd (ha-ha) of that one. Now of course, when you think of farmers, you oughta think of overalls and a nice little cowboy hat.  Try and find some worn overalls and a nice worn flannel, primary colors are best for farmers but other colors are awesome too.  To add little touches to your fun farmer costume, you can wear a bandana or maybe put a nice handkerchief in your shirt pocket. For shoes, you can wear black or brown boots.

The next easy costume is a slice of cake.  Bakers are fun, simple, and really cute costumes for kids and adults.  What you’ll need for this costume is a nice apron and a chef’s hat. You can add a couple of nice accessories like a whisk, and some flour on your face and vualá! You’re all set to be a baker.

Have you got any fabric bandages? You may wanna consider using them for a ghoulish costume this year.  You can start with some black clothes of your own and some makeup and you should be all set for this spooky ghost costume.  Drape and safety pin the bandaging around your body and allow it to trail on the floor a tiny bit. For makeup, you’ll want to paint your face white to get a sickly, haunted look.  To add to that scary and sickening look, put on some black eyeshadow around your eyes.

Easy to put together but difficult to find, Where’s Waldo?! To put this super easy costume, you’ll need a super fun red and white striped shirt and beanie! These are Waldo essentials.  You’ll also need his signature spectacles – chunky round black glasses and Waldo are an iconic duo that mustn’t be ignored. Now, the last thing you need is a pair of your everyday jeans and behold! You’re basically impossible to spot on this Halloween… hopefully, you can still manage to get candy, though.

Unfortunately, we’ve reached our last DIY costume, but certainly not the least exciting!  You can go ahead and grab that dress you never wear and turn it into a fun fairy princess costume!  You can go to your local dollar store and buy wings and a fancy tiara. Try on some makeup to compliment your beautiful dress and put some rhinestones on your face to add the little sparkle any fairy would have.  Put your hair in a pretty style and throw that tiara on. Let your inner princess out and have fun!

Now go out and have tons of fun for this Halloween (and don’t forget your candy bag)!  You can get creative and show off your unique costume to all your friends this fall with your fantastic DIY skills!
