-SPOILER WARNING-

The movie is about a young woman, Megan Reed, who works at the morgue. One day, while working the graveyard shift, she believes that there is a demonic force in the body of a woman who died while having an exorcism. Throughout the night, she experiences visions that make her believe even more that the body is possessed. With have PTSD from seeing her partner die in front of her, it makes her night worse.

The movie has very good special effects that made it very realistic. Like in the flashback she has about her partner dying it looks very realistic. Rob Hillenbrink, who is in charge of the special props and effects, did a very good job with them. He especially did a good job on the exorcism scene. Adrien Morot, who does the special effects in makeup, did a really good job. The neck slash Hannah Grace had on her neck was done very well and was very realistic. Her body makeup throughout the movie was also very well done, and when she’s crawling around on the floor, with her back wet and bloody, it’s scary and realistic.

The movie plot was easy to understand and wasn’t cheesy or cringey. Some horror movies tend to be cheesy and cringey but this one wasn’t one of those movies, which was a great thing. The ending was really interesting and wasn’t an ending that a lot of people hated. The ending is one of the most important parts of a movie. It tells us what the resolution was, or what will happen next.

The ending of the movie was an ending I wasn’t actually mad at. Megan had successfully “killed” Hanna Grace again, and burned her to make sure she was gone for sure this time. After all of that happens and they find Megan, it cuts to her running and then showering. When she was in front of the mirror a fly appeared, it’s a fly, why’s it so important? Well, it’s important because, when she first uncovered Hannah Grace, a huge amount of flies came out. That fly at the end of the movie may have been a sign that Megan could be possessed, or even that Hannah Grace’s demon is still there.

The Possession of Hannah Grace was a great movie with the special effects, plot, no cringiness or cheesiness, good actors, and a good ending. Those are qualities of a great movie that did well. I would recommend this movie to people who like the more supernatural movies.
