Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is a movie about 3 chipmunks: Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, and 3 chipettes, and the “owner/father” is Dave. In this movie, they all go on a cruise ship on a family trip. When they get onto the boat, Alvine immediately starts mischief by taking tanning oil and spreading it around the boat floor, and they all start sliding around and dancing. Dave then comes around the corner, slips, falls, and drops all the stuff she was carrying. While all this is happening, the chipettes: Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor, are all performing on a table for a big crowd. Alvin runs over to the table where the chipmunks are performing, and Dave is chasing him.
They go to their room and talk about how they can’t be doing this. After this, Dave is getting ready to go out, and the chipmunks and chipettes are supposed to stay in the room. Before Dave leaves, Theodore gives Dave an edible necklace he made. He puts it on and leaves. Alvin rips off his pajamas right after he closes the door, and underneath he is wearing a tux. He convinces the chipettes to leave the room, and they are in a room, and everyone is dancing, and the chipettes are performing again. Simon is looking for them, while he’s looking, the chipettes and 3 girls are having a dance battle. The chipettes end up winning, and Dave is talking to Ian, who is the evil guy who is always trying to take the chipmunks. Dave ends up going back to the room, and only Theodore is in the room still, and Dave asks where the others are. Dave goes looking for them, and he finds Alvin and Simon and takes them. Security is standing right in front of Dave with the chipmunks in his hands, and says he’s not supposed to have pets.
The chipmunks and Dave go back to the room and talk about how the chipmunks can’t be on the cruise, and Alvin says, “What are they gonna do, make us walk the plank?” and Dave says if they misbehave one more time, they will be off the ship. Soon after this, Dave goes out and is reading a magazine, and the chipmunks are playing a game together. While they are playing, Theodore is eating donuts. Dave falls asleep, and Alvin trades a plate of donuts for a kid’s kite. Alvine is on the kite, and the chipmunks and chipettes start flying cause they don’t weigh enough, and then the kite ends up flying away with all the chipmunks and chipettes on it. Dave runs for them because he woke up and got a hang glider, and Ian flies after them. The chipmunks and chipettes end up on an island, and they spend the night there. They make a fire and a little area to sleep. They wake up and find a stranded girl who has been there for 8 years. She is going insane and has imaginary friends that are objects with faces on them, and thinks they are real. Dave and Ian are also on the island because they also found it and figured the chipmunks would be there somewhere.
Dave and Ian end up finding the chipmunks, and at one point, the crazy girl ends up putting Jeanette on a rope and putting her down a hole with a bunch of gold and jewelry, and makes Jeanette fill her cheeks with gold and jewelry. By the end of the movie, everyone gets saved by Dave and Ian, and they all get back home safely.
