Home Alone is a 1990, 1 hour and 43 minutes long movie about a kid, Kevin, who gets forgotten by his family and left home alone. The movie starts with a fake cop trying to find the house’s owner, but everyone is ignoring him. It cuts to Kevin asking how to pack a suitcase, but no one wants to help him. When the family starts to eat dinner, Kevin sees that there’s no more cheese pizza left and gets angry at his brother, pushing him and causing chaos in the whole kitchen. Kevin’s mom takes him and starts to scold him. She tells him that he needs to control himself, and Kevin wishes that his family would disappear.
In the morning, when Kevin wakes up, he sees that his family isn’t home and thinks that his wish has come true. He decides that since no one is home, he can do whatever he wants, so he starts to goof around. At night, robbers try to break into the house but aren’t able to, so Kevin just goes to sleep. In the morning, the police go to check on Kevin because his mom is repeatedly calling them to go look for Kevin at the house, but he doesn’t answer, so the police leave, and Kevin starts to get ready to go to the store to buy food and a toothbrush.
While Kevin is at the store, he sees his creepy “murderer” neighbor before he pays for his toothbrush, and since he’s so scared of him, he runs out of the store with the toothbrush. The cops chase him; he ends up getting away, but runs into the robbers, who follow him in their car. Kevin runs to his house and sets up figures that look like humans to get the robber to think that people are home. It works, and the robbers leave. That night, Kevin wished for his family to come back before going to sleep.
That morning, Kevin goes to the store to buy food and then goes home to do laundry. Kevin was going on a walk when he saw Santa and wished him that his family would come back. Then he goes to church, where he sees his neighbor; he starts to talk to him and realizes that he’s not that bad, and they become good friends. After their talk, Kevin runs home and sets traps for the robbers. When the robber gets to his house and tries to come in through the front door, he slips and falls because Kevin threw water onto the steps and it froze. They find a way in but have to try to avoid all his traps while also trying to catch Kevin, but they fall for all his tricks. The police get there and arrest the robbers, and Kevin goes to sleep. In the morning, when Kevin wakes up and his mom is home, he gets really happy, and they enjoy a nice hug together.
All in all, Home Alone is a good Christmas movie to watch with your family if you want an exciting but wholesome movie.
