Red Robin is an American food-based restaurant chain. They have many different things on the menu: burgers, pizza, different options of chicken such as sandwiches and wings, salads and wraps, desserts, as well as many appetizers. The appetizers are queso fundido, guacamole or salsa with chips, cheese mozzarella twists with marinara or ranch, pretzel bites with cheese, and deep-fried pickles. These are just a couple of many options they provide.
Their story started in the 1940s at Sam’s Tavern in Seattle, Washington. Red Robin started as a bar and soon became a restaurant. The name Red Robin came from a song “When the Red, Red Robin comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin along.” They changed the name from Sam’s Tavern to Red Robin in 1969. In 2023 Red Robin made 1.3 billion dollars and in 2024 they made 1.250-1.275 billion. Red Robin is nationwide and there are also locations in British Columbia and Canada.
There are options for bottomless fries, drinks, kid’s mac and cheese, steamed broccoli, and sauces. They are most known for their burgers. Some of their burgers include Jalapeno Heatwave, Madlove, Bacon Cheeseburger, Whiskey River BBQ, Royal Red Robin, and Red Robin Gourmet Cheeseburger. I personally have only tried a couple of burgers but I have heard from many people that they are good. They have many sauces including Whiskey River, BBQ sauce, and smoke & pepper.
They also have campfire sauce which they are very known for. I personally really like it. It has soybean, water, egg yolk, distilled vinegar, corn syrup, tomato concentrate, granulated sugar, salt, brown sugar, and tomato paste. It is a creamy smoky blend of barbeque, mayo, and spices. This sauce is on some of the burgers but you can also just get it on the side. You can buy the campfire sauce at Walmart and most stores like Target, Winco, etc. If you do buy it you have to keep it refrigerated. You can also buy the seasoning that they put on the fries at the same stores.
Red Robin has a mascot called “Burgertime.” Burgertime shows that Red Robin is fun and family-friendly. Red Robin also has little balloons on the way out the door for the kids or anyone who would like one. They also have activity sheets for kids to do with crayons or colored pencils and some locations even have mini arcades. The friendly staff also helps with the family-friendly environment. They also have iPad-like devices at every table and you can pay to play a variety of games including trivia, puzzles, and classic arcade games, plus more.
