The Art In Music

There are more than 10 million songs and we all have our favorites, but mine are the ones many don’t know of. Boring right? Well, not really. The music I listen to has a strong meaning which many others don’t get, and I feel as if it is difficult to really understand me until you hear the music I listen to. The art in music is what I consider the true meaning, why it was made, and what people think of it. Like many people, I cope with my problems by listening to music. Sometimes we just can’t find the right kind of artist who can understand us. Hopefully, I can help you out with recommendations and with what I’ve experienced with this music.  Keep in mind that the people I talk about are artists I found on Spotify, and I’ll be using their monthly listener count to gauge their popularity.

1.Daniel Tomolaris (Rock)

Daniel is an artist with less than 500 listeners a month, so why would I recommend him? Popularity doesn’t matter, the music does. Daniel is a composer and a writer mainly known for Hooks and Hooked on a sound. The music he makes is a mixture of sadness, and happiness and his words feel as if they were singing about you, you can easily relate to the music. When I first listened to the artist I was in love with the music he made, as soon as I heard the guitar playing I felt as if I were in the air, the words he sang made me feel powerful and related to much of what he’s sung. This is the first I recommend.

2.Adrian Milanio (Pop)

This artist is known for doing a collaboration with Marylou Villegas, a YouTuber with over 90,000 subscribers. Because of the collab, Adrian has gained over 1,000 monthly listeners. Adrian‘s songs are on the topic of love and culture. If you ever get a feeling of love or just want to hear the catchy beats, then this guy is the one to go to. The piano at the beginning of his songs with a beat in the background are mainly what got me to listen to his songs, it’s very memorable and I strongly recommend to take a listen to the artist.

3. Tell Her I Love Her (Rock)

The artist’s identity is unknown, though they do have more than 5,000 monthly listeners. The artist pays attention to the topic of love and is mostly known for their song Unravel with over 50,000 views on youtube. If you were to pay attention to the meaning of the music I’m sure you’d be listening to the music 10 times a day, at least I did. If you were to ever lose someone important to you, songs like this are able to help you out with the feelings and let you enjoy the memories you had. It helped me in many ways like giving me confidence, happiness, love, and care. I surely had a good time listening to this kind of music, and I very much hope you’d give the song a listen.

4.Sam Ock (Pop & Rap)

Sam Ock is a Korean-American singer and rapper with music having incredibly beautiful melodies or otherwise known as “Soulful Pop.” Sam has over 50,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and has got me quite addicted to the music he makes. The music he makes is usually based off of letting you know you’re not alone. I’d really like it if people with difficult times would listen to this, it helped me and hopefully, it can do the same for you. His songs give me a vision of hope, care, and love. It got me in thought,  and it gave me the inspiration to have an interest in arts.

5.Crywank (Rock)

When I first listened to the band, I felt welcome, I felt as if I can relate towards what he says. And that’s because his songs are based on his depression, sadness, and pain. He’s poor but has a good future ahead of him. He has over 99,000 listeners monthly. I hope you can give this man a chance. Hopefully, it helps and lets you realize, you aren’t alone.

So, what was the point of all these songs? I want people to notice the art and emotion put into the songs many don’t know of, and yet they can be so helpful. It helped me, my brothers, my cousins, a handful of people in my family. The art in emotion, in music, in the stories of an artist, are what can potentially help us become who we want to be.  These five songs may not be much, but the emotions they gave me inspired me into following my dream. The experience has been amazing, and I hope to find more music similar to the recommendations.
